Randolph "Randy" J. Hebert Sr.

Randolph “Randy” J. Hebert, Sr. passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was 87 years old. Beloved husband for 62 years to Betty Richards Hebert. Loving father of Randy J. Hebert, Jr. (Susan G.) and Elizabeth Hebert. Grandfather of Christopher, Cory, and Calli Hebert. Brother of Rita Nelson (Amedee). Uncle of Linda Looney. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysse and Orelia Crochet Hebert.

Randy was born and raised in New Orleans, and graduated from Warren Easton High School. He worked as an aircraft mechanic at Lakefront Airport and Moisant Field. Randy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served during World War II.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lehman Preis, and the staff at Cardiology Consultants at East Jefferson General Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery. A gathering will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
