Ray O'Neil Landry

Ray O’Neil Landry was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Mr. Landry was a resident of New Orleans all his life. He attended Warren Easton High School and Delgado Community College. Son of the late O’Neil Joseph Landry and Felicitee Schubert Landry. He was born on June 20, 1923. Beloved husband of the late Myrle Hotard Landry. Brother-in-law of the late Elaine Hicks and Wilfred P. Hotard. Uncle of Linda H. Hicks and the late Glenda Lee. Cousin of E. Peggy Landry. Also survived by nephew, many cousins and friends. Mr. Landry worked in the Post office as a clerk until he retired. He served in the United States Army during WWII as a Sergeant and was a medical assistant. He was a member of Ed Brauner Post 307 American Legion, The National World War II Museum and a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
