Renée was cherished by all who knew her for her warm heart, playful sense of humor, and generous spirit. A true “lifer” at The Academy of the Sacred Heart, Renée later devoted herself to teaching children at Rayne Memorial before joining her family’s catering and event planning business, Partysist.
Through her years in business, Renée touched countless lives. She was a gracious mentor to her team, sharing not only her knowledge and experience, but also her belief in treating people with kindness, respect, and grace. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Family was at the very heart of Renée’s life. Her greatest joy was the love and closeness she shared with those who meant the most to her. Renée is survived by her sister, Lea Morphy Freeman, and her brother, Charles Edward David Freeman (Dana Hampton Smetherman); her beloved nieces, Julia Adrienne Golizio and Emma Winn Freeman; and her beloved nephews, Christopher Michael Golizio and Robert Edward David Freeman.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at #7 Richmond Place.
Renée, affectionately known as “NeeNee,” will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
