

Richard Cenas Morse, Jr. “Dick”, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday June 9, 2016. He was 71 years old. Dick was born in New Orleans, LA on July 18, 1944 to the late Richard Cenas Morse, Sr. and Emily Mounicou Morse. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 46 years, Lillian Helene Morse. He is also survived by his son Richard Cenas Morse, III “Beau”, his daughter Meghan Helene Morse and his granddaughter Milan Peytra LaFlair. Dick attended New Orleans Academy and went on to pursue a Chemical Engineering degree at LSU where he was a proud member, troublemaker and President of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He had an undying love for the water and was a member of the Southern Yacht Club for over 55 years. He was an avid sailor and spent his free time sharing his passion with his friends and family. Like a true NOLA native, he loved everything LSU, New Orleans Saints and Mardi Gras and was also a member of several carnival organizations. Dick’s love of life was infectious and his especially fun personality made him shine. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, uncle, in-law, cousin and friend to so many people that will forever miss him. The Morse family welcomes you to come share some stories and celebrate his life with us on Tuesday June 14th at 10am at Lake Lawn Metairie 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124.
