Beloved and caring husband of Joy Roussel Patin for 60 years.

Father of Richard Patin (Pamela), Hope Patin Taormina (Manuel), Edward Patin, Joy Patin, Joan Patin Normand (Michael), and Robert Patin (Gina).

Grandfather of Bernadette P. Roberson (Casey), Andrew Patin, Vincent Patin (Kristen), Christopher Normand, Gregory Normand, Christian Patin, Ava Patin, and Gabriel Patin.

Great grandfather of Henry X. and James R. Roberson.

Son of the late Richard Jordan Patin and Henrietta Bozant Patin.

Brother of Robert F. Patin.

Richard was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration & Law as well as his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University. He went on to become a partner & owner of N.O. Rosenbush Claims Service.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He was president of the Veterans Club at Loyola University & Cub Master for Pack 2 of the Cub Scouts at St. James Major. He was a member of the Optimist Club & American Legion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM and continue on Thursday from 10 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow Mass in Metairie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. You may also consider a donation to Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, or a charity of your choice.
