Richard Paul Terrebonne passed away on July 27, 2026, in Beaumont, TX. He was born on August 26, 1936, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Robert J. Terrebonne and Idelle B. Estelle Terrebonne. A graduate of LSU (BS in Chemical Engineering) and Loyola University (MBA). A former resident of River Ridge, Richard was a Eucharistic minister, a Lector and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society, having served as President, a former Scout Master of Troop 263, all at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church. As a man of service, he also volunteered with numerous charitable organizations. He enjoyed over 40 retreats annually at Manresa House of Retreats, fishing, camping, travel, woodworking, music and a good sense of humor. He also enjoyed making furniture and toys for family and the less fortunate. He retired from Shell Oil Co. and International Lubricant Corporation, considering his coworkers at ILC to be like family. He was the loving husband of the late Katherine Porta Terrebonne, father of Teresa T. Russo of River Ridge, Faye T. Tucker of West Monroe, and Dean M. Terrebonne of Beaumont, Texas, father-in-law of Thomas S. Russo and Barney A. Tucker, grandfather of Annalise M., Nicholas S. and Christopher T. Russo and Cole A., Connor L. and Carson L. Tucker. He is also survived by family friend, Rusty Chimeno. Richard was predeceased by his brother, Robert Linsley Terrebonne. The family is forever grateful to Maria Landreneau for her dignified and loving care, as well as the staff at Rosemary House and Best Hospice Care of Texas during Dad’s last weeks.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge. Interment to follow in Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to St. Matthew the Apostle Church St. Vincent de Paul Society or Manresa House of Retreats.
