Grandfather, father, brother, and friend Rick "Mac" McCarty, 66, of New Orleans, LA passed away on Monday, Aug 17, 2026. Rick spent his days dancing with his grandchildren, shouting at sports on TV, and providing laughter to anyone who stayed long enough to hear his humor.
But more than anything, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus. His greatest desire in life was to know Jesus and make Him known. Rick was the kind of man whom you could not outgive or outserve or outlove.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Patty, children Paige, Kylie, Scott (Ali), and Anthony Leche (Gabby) and grandchildren: Cleo, Maya, Ryker, and Riley.
Friends and family are welcome to celebrate and remember Rick on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00am at Woodland Church, 5824 Berkley Drive, at New Orleans, LA 70131.
