Rita Italiano Wetzel, age 98, died in the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Philip A. "Ike" Wetzel, Sr.; Mother of Philip A. Wetzel, Jr. and Kenneth A. Wetzel, Sr. (Lynn Wetzel); Grandmother of Jennifer Wetzel Morris and the late Kenneth A. Wetzel, Jr.; Great-grandmother of Kameron, Kaleb, Derek and Kaeden; Daughter of the late Anthony and Margarita Italiano; Sister of Josie, Anthony and Vickie.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 beginning at 10:30 a.m. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by a procession to the graveside at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery for the Rite of Committal.
The family kindly requests that casual attire be worn to the services.
