Robert E. Ahrens III passed away peacefully at his home in Metairie, Louisiana, on the evening of Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was 50 years old. Born in Metairie, he graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School. Following school, he worked in the culinary field and enjoyed golfing in his spare time.
Son of Judith Dunkin Ahrens and the late Robert E. Ahrens, Jr. Brother of Adele Ahrens Thonn. Uncle of Cobryn Thonn and Justine Thonn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Robert will be laid to rest privately.
