Robert Henry Cerise, Sr. passed away at his home on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the age of 72. He is survived by his love Ann Adelle; their three children Robin Ann Koshar (Chris), Robert Henry Cerise, Jr. (Cathy) and William Minor Cerise (Jessica); six grandchildren: Bobby, Sarah Anne, Christopher, Charles, William and Thomas. Bob is also survived by his sister Priscilla Cerise Mezzanares; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Bob retired as an operating engineer with Local 406 after 40 years of service. He was a proud pile driver, who assisted with the foundations of many notable construction sites throughout the Metro New Orleans area. Bob was also a St. Tammany Parish School bus driver for 17 years. He was defined by the work he did, whether a crane operator, school bus driver, carpenter, plumber, fisherman, gardener or cook. He loved music, sunrises, sunsets, and people. Bob was a lifelong member of Mt. Moriah – Quitman Masonic Lodge No. 59.
Private services were held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home followed by burial in Metairie Cemetery.
