Robert Paul Gauslin

Bobby Gauslin, “Mr. Character” at the age 80 years old has gone to heaven on July 10, 2026, to spend eternal life with his Lord and Savior. He was surrounded by his family then and during his long illness. He is preceded in death by his loving parents the late Robert Warren Gauslin and Rose Cannella Gauslin. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Bankston Gauslin, two sisters, Marie Gauslin Jacob (Wayne); Rosalie Gauslin Porche Lobello (Gus), nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Bob graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Grammar School, East Jefferson High School and Loyola University New Orleans. He had a long and lucrative career in the oil industry beginning with Gulf refinery progressing to Alliance refinery where he achieved the position of Merchandise Manager. He loved life and people! One of his greatest joys was bringing people together to laugh and have fun---plant buddies, his grammar school friends, Italian club members, and Over The Hill Gang. The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the ICU and the 3rd floor of West Bank Ochsner hospital; as well as the Compassus Hospice company and everyone who gave of their self and care to Bob.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM till 12:00, followed by a mass. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, La.
