

Robert Dickinson Liebkemann, a native of New Orleans and resident of Kiln, Miss. for more than 30 years, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Frederick Liebkemann, Jr. and Elizabeth Dickinson Liebkemann and his brother, George Frederick Liebkemann, III. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Kerryn Fitzmaurice Liebkemann; sons: Robert Dickinson Liebkemann, Jr. (Cathay) and Scott Grage Liebkemann (Heather); daughters: Deborah L. Terrell (Jeff) and Lauren Elizabeth Liebkemann; grandchildren: Zachary Scott Alexander, Schyler Hampton Alexander, Liza Parker Alexander, Matthew Robert Liebkemann, and Kyle Scott Liebkemann. He is also survived by his nephews: George Frederick Liebkemann, IV, Kevin Brown Liebkemann, and Walter Dickinson Liebkemann. Bobby graduated from New Orleans Academy and attended Tulane University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He enjoyed a lifelong career in the insurance industry as a life insurance agent and longtime member of the Million Dollar Round Table. An outdoorsman and avid duck hunter and fisherman, he was a member of several sportsmen’s clubs where lifelong friendships were cultivated. He was cofounder of the Greater New Orleans Tarpon Club and member of the Louisiana Tarpon Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and relaxing at his duck camp near Delacroix with family and friends, as well as cruising the Jourdan River on the pontoon boat. Also affectionately known as Sneaks, Pappy and Sweetie, Bobby had a strong passion for living life to its fullest and he never met a stranger. He was generous, kind and loving and more than anything, spending quality time with his family and friends gave him his greatest joy.
