Robert McKenna Richards

Robert McKenna Richards passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, in Asheville, North Carolina at the age of 85. He was born April 23, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Ernest Vincent Richards, Jr. and Loretto McKenna Richards. Robert proudly served our country in the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Ernest V. Richards III, John J. Richards, James T. Richards, Tallulah (“Sis”) R. Clay, Horace V. Richards, Julian S. Richards and William (“Billy”) G. Richards. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jane D’Antoni Richards; his son Robert McKenna Richards, Jr.; his daughter Mary Richards Wisenbaker and husband, Josh; his sister, Loretto Richards O’Reilly; his grandchildren Sophie, Emily and Owen Wisenbaker; as well as numerous other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
