Robert Peter Tarleton, Sr. passed away on January 2, 2017 at the age of 73. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church; and was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School; and served in the United States Army National Guard. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Charlene Steen Tarleton; daughter Tonya Tarleton Vead (Keith); sons Robet Peter Tarleton, Jr., Lance Thomas Tarleton, Keith Anthony Tarleton, and Brian Nicholas Tarleton; grandchildren Chad, Joshua, Cameron, Sarah, Michaela, Paige, Justin, Theresa, and Breanna; and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Beverly Tarleton, Sr. and Jennie Frosina Tarleton; and 2 brothers James Beverly Tarleton, Jr. and Salvadore “Sammy” Tarleton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 followed by inurnment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 10:00 a.m.
