Bob was a native of New Orleans, LA born March 29, 1941 to the late Lucille Ruh Troyer and Andrew G. Troyer Sr. He resided in Chalmette for 33 years then moved to Slidell to be closer to his children and grandchildren. Bob and Tanya were parishioners of St. Luke the Evangelist Church. He attended St. Aloysius High School then joined the U. S. Marine Corps, at the age of 17 and proudly served for 8 years with an honorable discharge. He worked as a trouble shooter in the oil fields for New Orleans Armature Works then Lincoln Big Three, as a welding specialist and retired from Air Liquide America after 35 years. One of his many passions was diving! He loved to dive all over the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico as a Master Diver for over 20 years logging in over 400 dives. When he wasn’t diving you could find him at the shooting range, as well as listening to his favorite 50's music. And if you really knew this man you also know he LOVED his 55 Chevy and his faithful German Shepard Jade.
