He was raised in the Montz/Laplace area of Louisiana. He attended St. Joan of Arc for grammar school, then went on to play baseball, basketball, and football for St. Charles Catholic. When Roland graduated in 2006, he attended University of Louisiana at Monroe. Unfortunately due to the untimely death of his brother Robert, Roland was called to New Orleans to operate his family’s business Ricca’s Architectural Sales. When Roland was free to enjoy his hobbies they were plentiful. He was a true Louisiana Sportsman. There was not a sport he didn't excel at. He loved to fish and hunt with his friends from Team Duck Meat. However what brought Roland the most joy was his family. He will truly be missed by so many people.
Roland is survived by his loving wife Allison Akhter and two adoring daughters Sloan and Romy Ricca. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends who were more like family to him. He is preceded in death by his parents Roland Ricca Sr. and Nelvia Milbern Ricca. Also by his grandparents Peter and Althea Ricca and George and Peggy Goodspeed. Sadly he will also be joining many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well.
