Rolando René Rodriguez, Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 88 on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his home in Metairie surrounded by his family. A native of Santa Clara, Cuba, he is survived by and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Emerida Mercedes Rodriguez, and will forever be cherished by his children, Mariela Rodriguez, Jackie Rodriguez Taylor (Justin), Ivette Rodriguez Lancaster, Rolando R. Rodriguez, Jr., (Erica), and his adored grandchildren Isa, Danté, Bella and Amelia.
