Ronald J. Geraci Sr.

Ronald Joseph Geraci, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 16, 2021. He was 87 years old. He was born in New Orleans on December 17, 1933. Ronald moved to Metairie when he married the love of his life, Mary Saltaformaggio. He also lived in Hiram, Georgia for 12 years following Hurricane Katrina, returning home to Metairie in 2016. Ronald had a lifelong career in sales. In 1963 he decided to venture out on his own and built a very successful business, Light Bulb Delivery Service, Inc., which he would own and operate until his retirement. He is a Veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was very proud of his time spent serving his country and would tell countless stories of his time jumping out of aircraft. He is survived by his three children whom he loved dearly, Mary (Jenny) Dickey (Dale), Ronald J. Geraci, Jr. (Elizabeth), and Dominic A. Geraci (Pamela). Ronald has 4 grandchildren, Dominique Geraci, Nicole Raggio, Patrice Thibodeaux (Kevin), and the late Ronald J. Geraci, III as well as 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Saltaformaggio Geraci, grandson, Ronald J. Geraci, III, and parents Philip Geraci, Sr. and Mamie Daige Geraci. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at the Fidelis Scofield House for their care and compassion over the past 10 months and Notre Dame Hospice for their care for the past 4 months.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Mass will follow in the Chapel at 12:00 PM.
