Ronald Andrew Melancon

Ronald Andrew Melancon passed away on June 27, 2026 at 82 years of age. He was born in New Sarpy, LA on March 15, 1944. He was raised in New Orleans and currently resided in Baton Rouge. Ronald graduated from Nichols High School in 1963, and he retired from Northwest Airline. He was always cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Constant P. Melancon and Juliette Clements Melancon; sister, Elaine G. Harrington; and brothers, Nelson Melancon, Palookie Melancon, and Cornel Melancon.

He is survived by his sister, Dolores Deckelman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The memorial mass will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00 am. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
