Visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Inez Bird. He is survived by a brother, Richard Bird, and his partner, Tom Ledet, an aunt, Pam Bruhn and cousins Jim and Carroll Wink and John and Tammie Wink. Ronald is also survived by very kind and caring friends, Amy Baudot, Cliff and Linda Savage, Ken and Lorraine Davis and Nancy and Bob Heuser.
Ronald attended Delgado Junior College to learn the auto mechanic trade. He worked for several years at the Gossem Motors.
He will always be remembered for his cheerfulness, generosity and open heart. He never failed to help a friend in need.
