Rosalie Ciaccio Griffin

Rosalie Ciaccio Griffin entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the age of 99. She was born on December 13, 1926, in Independence, Louisiana, and was a resident of Metairie. She was a long-standing parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church where she was a member of the St. Angela Ladies Auxiliary (SALA) for many years and enjoyed visiting with her friends. Rosalie enjoyed cooking family meals often, and everyone was always welcomed at her table. In the early 1990’s, she was inspired by St. Joseph to have a St. Joseph’s Altar. Along with her family, she turned this into a nine-year celebration of thanks to St. Joseph for his blessings.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Warren J. Griffin, Sr., her beloved parents, Antonio and Ignazia Ciaccio, brothers, Charles and Mario, sister, Josephine, son-in-law, Dean Angerdina, grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Phoenix, and Brian Lousteau, and great-grandchildren, MacKynzie and Payton Lousteau. She is also preceded in death by her brother and sister in-laws, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is survived by her beloved children, Jackie Angerdina, Linda Lousteau (Stephen), Barbara Lang, Warren Griffin, Jr. (Karen), and Stephen Lang, grandchildren, Mark Angerdina (Tracey), David Angerdina (Eve), Laurie Hoyt (Michael), Aimee Berthelot (Josh), Emily Bourgeois (Josh), Wyatt Lang (Joanne), Zach Lang (Tate), Tyler Lang (Bri), Erin Tracey (Brad), Elizabeth Tracey (David), great-grandchildren, Jackson (Serafina), Madeleine (Monty), Mia, Julian, and Karly Angerdina, Michael Jr., Kaitlyn, and Katherine Hoyt, Nathan Lousteau, Isaac, Andee, and Elliot Berthelot, Jonathan and Joseph Bourgeois, Wyatt Jr., and Zach Jr. Lang, and Ella and David. She is also survived by many loving godchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the clergy for their lifelong spiritual support and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at East Jefferson General Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at St. Angela Merici Church, 901 Beverly Garden Drive, Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am - 12:15 pm with a Mass to begin at 12:15 pm. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
