
Rose Brodtmann Duvernay, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. A native of New Orleans, LA, she was born on September 27, 1928 to the late Alexander C. Brodtmann Sr. and Rosalie Rappold Brodtmann.
She is survived by her children, Karen C. Natal (Frank), Corinne C. Flattmann (George), Michael M. Chisholm (Marylou), Leo A. Duvernay, Sr. (Erin) and Allison D. Watling (Mark); her grandchildren, Christie Vekic (Don), Gregory Flattmann (Kathy), Alexander Chisholm, Leslie Rose Chisholm, William Chisholm, Kayla Duvernay, Leo A. Duvernay, Jr., Kyle Watling (Megan), Camille Rose Watling and Daniel Watling; great-grandchildren, Caroline Vekic, Catherine Vekic, Emma Flattmann and Eli Flattmann. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Alexander C. Brodtmann, Jr.
Rose graduated from St. Mary’s Dominican High School in 1945. At 17 years old, Rose began her career in banking at Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans. She then went on to work for First National Bank of Commerce. She retired from Whitney National Bank as a Banking Officer in 1994.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass to be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Metairie Cemetery. All in attendance are kindly required to wear a facemask.
