Rose M. Grady passed away at her home on August 2, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born July 7, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from L.B. Landry and Southern University of New Orleans, She began her career in Case Management at the Medical Center of New Orleans (Charity Hospital) where she retired in 2005.
She had a passion for skating and taught as an aerobic instructor for many years at the French Riviera Spa. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, and extending a helping hand wherever her huge heart led her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brown Dotson and Willie Mae Johnson; grandparents, Sister Darlene Johnson and Brother Frank Johnson.
Rose is survived by her husband of 40 years, Curley Grady Sr. Sons, Edward, Curley Jr., Turell and Durell. Sisters Beverly, Karen, Cheryl, Angel, Sandra and Diane. Brothers John Wayne, Perry and Harold. She is also survived by a host of loving sisters and brothers in laws. Grandchildren Curley III, Jontia, Kayla and Jayla and a host of great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, On Saturday, August 15, 2006. Funeral Services will begin at 10 AM. Rose will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum immediately after the service has concluded.
