

Rose-Warren Berryman Mogabgab, a retired academic administrator, writer and research associate at Tulane University School of Medicine’s Department of Infectious Diseases from 1965 to 1992 died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in New Orleans. She was 76. Mrs. Mogabgab was born March 13, 1940 in Richmond, VA to the late Maynard Warren Berryman and Bessie Virginia Edwards.
She married Dr. William Joseph Mogabgab on July 15, 1988 after several years of working in the same research laboratory with him at Tulane where he was a Professor of Medicine and Section Chief, Infectious Diseases at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Mogabgab predeceased her on December 13, 2001.
She was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Women’s College and was a member of its local alumni chapter. She was also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and Women for a Better Louisiana. She received an award in 1982 from the mayor of New Orleans for her contributions to the city. Rose was also very proud of her beautiful garden and loved New Orleans.
Survivors include two sons, CDR Robert Mogabgab Berryman, USNR (ret) and his wife Regina Stephans Berryman of Tarrytown, NY; and CDR William Joseph Mogabgab Berryman, USN and his wife Laura Deltete Berryman; a granddaughter, Julia Grace Berryman; a brother, Hunt Maynard Berryman of Lakeland, FL; and a sister, Mrs. Parham Berryman Cain of Frederick, MD.
