Rose Catherine Grush Simoneaux passed away at her home in Metairie on June 15, 2026. Rose was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 30, 1937. Rose grew up in Lakeview and attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gustave Raymond Simoneaux, Jr., her parents, Rosalie Spicuzza Grush and Louis G. Grush, Sr., as well as her siblings: Louis G. Grush, Jr., Donald J. Grush and William H. Grush. She is survived by her devoted and loving sister, Mary Jane Key, and her children, Suzanne S. Roesky, Paulette S. Barré (Bart) and Raymond L. Simoneaux (Patricia). She was a devoted and loving grandmother of Lauren Roesky, Mallorie S. Fraser (James), Isabella Barré, Austin Simoneaux and Barton Brooke Barré (Celeste Williams). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the memorial mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow within Metairie Cemetery, which is on the same grounds as the funeral home.
