Rosemary C. Esparros

Rosemary Gloria Caminita Esparros passed away on March 4, 2022 at the age of 98. She was born on October 26, 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Frank A. Caminita and Rosalie Scramuzza Caminita. Rosemary spent her life as a homemaker and mother. She was a dedicated caretaker for her family, including her husband and three sisters. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina when she then became a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Mandeville.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Leon John Esparros; her parents, Frank A. Caminita and Rosalie Scramuzza Caminita; and her sisters, Flora Messina (age 82), Ellena Carubba (age 83), and Catherine DeAngelis (age 99). She is survived by her sons, John Frank Esparros (Jackie) and Keith Leon Esparros; her grandchildren, Misha Severson (Eric), Claire M. Esparros, John Keith Esparros, Frank Arthur Esparros, and Case Anthony Esparros; her step-granddaughter, Lynn Waters Frechou; her three great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. A private graveside service will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
