He is preceded in death by his parents Ross L.F. Cunningham and Eva Sweda Cunningham; first wife Suzanne Jenny Cunningham and brother David Cunningham. Ross is survived by his wife Aline Bull Wetta Cunningham; brother John Cunningham (Marcia); sisters Eva Williams and Carolyn Watkins (Jim) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ross served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsmen and went on to become a registered nurse. He spent the past 20 years working at the Veterans Hospital in New Orleans. Ross was past Master Mason of #444 Metairie Lodge and member of #188 Covington Lodge.
