Sara Ellen Molony, the long-time owner of Uptown's Kyoto sushi restaurant, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 in New Orleans, LA at age 56. Sara graduated from Sacred Heart academy and went on to attend the University of Minnesota.
Sara is survived by her mother Jane Waguespack Molony; siblings Leslie Molony(Ronald Cobb), Megan Molony, Kevin Molony, Brian Molony (Yana Kurnosova), Ian Molony, and Duncan Molony; nephews Christopher Molony and Cameron Cobb; and other family members Junya Tanner, Tabo Tanner, and Alastair Harris. She is preceded in death by her father Michael J. Molony, Jr., and brother Michael J. Molony, III.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
