Sarah Jo Stamper Cefalu passed away at her home in Abita Springs on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the age of 40. She was born on September 12, 1984 in Ashland, Kentucky. After earning her high school diploma, she went on to a career in the hospitality industry.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Michael Matherne and Roman Anthony Matherne; parents, Daniel J. Cefalu, Jr. and Janda Stringer Cefalu; brother, Daniel Joseph Cefalu III; and grandparents, Bobby Joe Stringer (Peggy) of Birmingham, AL and Roma Perdue of Mandeville, LA.
She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and memorial service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Friday, December 6, 2024. The visitation will begin at 12 PM and the service will following the chapel at 2 PM.
