Shirlee H. “Rusty” Kessenich passed away peacefully on November 25, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Frederick F. “Fritz” Kessenich for 48 years. Daughter of the late Eugene E. Huppenbauer Sr. and the late Flossie W. Huppenbauer. Rusty leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Peter W. G. Kessenich (Ronnie) and Rick Kessenich (Suzy); grandchildren Peter Jr., Veronica, Eric (Chelsea), Mark (Courtney), Elizabeth, and Christian; great granddaughter Phoebe. She attended St. Mary’s Dominican College, Newcomb College, and graduated from the New York School of Interior Design. She was a proud member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a licensed Louisiana Interior Designer. Rusty and Fritz were the longtime owners of The Little Shop, Inc. in Metairie. Rusty was an avid golfer, former Ladies Club Champion of the Audubon Golf Club. She will be sadly missed by all.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 12:00 pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Rd, Metairie LA 70005. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am until service time. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
