Shirley Louvier Ganucheau, beloved wife of the late Donald J. Ganucheau, Daughter of the late Anatole J. Louvier, Jr. and Clementine Scherer Louvier. A loving mother to her children Dianne G. Volpe (John), Brian E. Grosch and the late Richard E. Grosch, Jr. Grandmother of Chadwick L. Grosch (Nicole), Corinne Pagano (Kevin) and Ericka DiVincent (Sidney). Great Grandmother of Chad II, Reece, Jaron, Colin, Emma, Bailey, Charlotte, Cate and Tyce. She was sister to Joseph C. Louvier, Theresa L. Leger, predeceased by Judith L. Swoop, Claire L. Guidry, Richard H. Louvier, and Anatole J. Louvier, III. She is also survived by her extended family Debra, Jimmy and Alex Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Ursuline Academy Class of 1949 and Garners Business College, she spent her years as a franchise owner of Wicks N. Sticks, owner of small daycare center Hansel and Gretel and years in the construction industry.

Her passion was her Church, St. Philip Neri and the church’s ministry at Metairie Health Care. Through the years she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Hospice Associates for the loving care they provided.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be private.
