Shirley Haydel Quirk

SHIRLEY HAYDEL QUIRK entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Ronald E. Quirk, stepmother of Ronald E. Quirk, Jr., Leslie Q. Reid, and the late Sharon Q. Pepper. Step grandmother of Lauren Pepper and Alaina Quirk. Daughter of the late Alfred F. Haydel of Belle Helene and the late Marie Daigle Haydel of Dutchtown. Sister of Maude H. Temento. She was preceded in death by her siblings Alfred F. Haydel, Jr., Marie H. Uzee, Georgette H. Chachere, and Irene H. Warren. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

Shirley was born in Westwego, LA., educated at Westwego High School and Dominican College of New Orleans. She was employed for 30 years in New Orleans, Metairie and Atlanta, GA as an administrative assistant. She has been a resident of Kenner, LA for the past 29 years. In lieu of flowers, Masses or a donation to Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Kenner, LA preferred.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services for Shirley at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy Kenner, LA on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00am until Mass begins at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
