Shirley A. Wichterich

Shirley Antoinette Wichterich entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 25, 2015, at the age of 94. She was a native and lifelong resident of the City of New Orleans. Retired employee of the former Leon Godchaux's Clothing Company on Canal Street. She was preceded in death by her parents Jeanne Bertoniere Wichterich, Henry Wichterich, sister Juanita Wichterich Cain (William Maurice), Uncle Joseph Bertoniere, and Great Niece April Ann Pippin. She was the Aunt of Sheila Cain Pippin (David Allen), Great Aunt of Kristin Ann Pippin, Kimberly Pippin Vance (Michael), and Matthew David Pippin (Katie). Great Great Aunt of Logan William Pippin, Brenden David Pippin, William James Vance and Charles David Vance. Beloved cousin of Larry Lowe ( Lynn), Marsha Ann Lowe ( Ricky), Judy Kramer Lockhart ( John), Charlene Pomes Forte (Vincent), and Missy Lowe Watts (David). Shirley will be sadly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family, former employees of Leon Godchaux Clothing Company, Residents and Staff of St. Luke Medical Center, St. Margaret's Hospice, and Sister Servants of Mary, are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery), on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 1 pm. Visitation will begin at 10am until service time. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery #1, 1322 Louisa Street, New Orleans, La.
