Stanley Joseph Bourgeois, Sr, age 87, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Helen Dupuis Bourgeois. Son of the late Henry Joseph Bourgeois, Sr. and Rose Guarino Bourgeois. Loving father of Stanley J. Bourgeois, Jr. (Claire), Lonny G. Bourgeois, Holly Bourgeois Ripley (Danny) and Jeffrey J. Bourgeois. Brother of Rosemary B. Schroeder, Helen B. Hargis, Roy Bourgeois, and the late Henry Bourgeois, Jr., Lawrence Bourgeois, Jackie Bourgeois and Janet Bourgeois. Grandfather of Brandon Ripley, Caleb Ripley, Greta Bourgeois, Tessa Bourgeois, and Cody Bourgeois. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict (USS Newport News). Retired from Western Electric in 1984.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
