Stephen Francis Lousteau Jr. entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2022 with his wife, Phoenix, and daughters, MacKynzie and Payton. Stephen was born on August 13, 1981 in Metairie, LA to Linda and Stephen Lousteau. From a very young age, he was known for mischief, spunk and an infectious laugh. You heard him coming, and he always lit up the room. He attended grammar school at St. Christopher School with many friends whom he continued to connect with over the years. Known fondly as Bubby, he was the oldest of four children: Aimee, Brian and Emily, whom he protected, guided, and bickered with over anything and everything. There were always guiding words, an opinion, and, without a doubt, raucous. He loved his family more than anything. Stephen graduated from Rummel High School with Honors in 1999. He lettered in multiple sports – football along with track and field. He continued his education and began a family with Jennifer Eschette in 2005 with the birth of their son, Nathan Francis Lousteau. He spent his free time coaching softball with his dad, and other family members. He was fondly known as Coach Bob and enjoyed encouraging young players to be their very best. A couple of years later, he met the love of his life, Phoenix Feltner Lousteau, and had two beautiful girls, MacKynzie Lynn and Payton Lynn. Stephen and Phoenix shared more than 11 years of marriage that included Las Vegas adventures, game nights, fishing, cook outs, kayaking, and seafood boils. There’s no doubt that one of Stephen’s greatest joys included Friday nights in the Fall where he could be found with his family cheering on his son, Nathan, and the Rummel Raiders football team. Additionally, in order to provide for his loving family, who were the light of his life and number one priority, he worked as the Finance Manager at Legacy Buick GMC in Slidell, LA, known as “Spot,” where he really enjoyed being able to “Put Dreams in Driveways.” He truly lived life to the fullest and will be missed dearly.
