Susan Prevost Maniscalco

Susan Prevost Maniscalco, age 78, passed away on January 29, 2022 at her home after a second battle with cancer. Like her parents, Gertrude Knecht Prevost and Milton Philip Prevost, Susan grew up in New Orleans, graduating from St. Stephens. She was always at her best in the kitchen cooking for others. Susan never missed a New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and passionately loved taking care of her yard almost as much as she loved taking care of her three boys: Joseph Michael Maniscalco (Amy), the late Jeffrey Scott Maniscalco (Dawn) and Jason Robert Maniscalco (Desarie). Susan was a loyal sister to Thomas McCann, grandmother to Angelo, Jackson and Elizabeth and aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be held in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1:00PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM until mass. There will be a private interment ceremony held at a later date.
