Susan Eola Koeneke Schexnaildre, age 63, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Susan was born to George and Arsene Koeneke on May 24, 1963. She was a lifelong resident of Metairie. Susan attended J.C. Ellis Elementary, Metairie Middle and graduated from Grace King High School. Susan is survived by her two daughters, Abby Schexnaildre (Matt) and Brooke Schexnaildre (Trey); grandsons Blake and Jacob Hooper, whom she adored and loved so much! She was an only child but had cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law that she made wonderful memories with. Susan is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Barry Schexnaildre Sr; son Barry Schexnaildre Jr; her parents George and Arsene Koeneke and her mother-in-law, Rita Carol Lockhart. Susan will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all former coworkers. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Lakeview Christian Center on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 9am until 11am.
