January 25, 1958 – December 28, 2024
Obituary of Terence "Terry" P. Richoux
IN THE CARE OF

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries

Terence “Terry” Paul Richoux was born in New Orleans on January 25, 1958 and attended Immaculate Conception grade school in Marrero. Terry graduated from Hahnville High School in 1976 and joined the United States Marine Corps. There he worked on helicopters and studied electrical work that would help him with his future career at Atmos Energy. He retired from Atmos Energy after 37 years. While Terry was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and tinkering with cars, his biggest loves were his two daughters and three grandchildren. His beloved cats also held a special place in his heart. Terry passed away peacefully at the age of 66 surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren from complications due to Alzheimer’s.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lisa Baye Richoux; daughters, Erin R. Mohon (Ken) and Lauren R. Hackett (Ryan); grandchildren, Oliver Y. Sketchler, Arlo E. Mohon, and Mazzy E. Mohon; father, Freddie Richoux (Judy); sisters, Suzanne Richoux and Mandy Richoux Emmer (Michael); brother, David Richoux (Deidre); nephew, Steven Becnel (Shelly), Andrew, Connor, and Dalton Emmer; nieces, Christy B. Rodriguez (Carmelo), Sarah R. Anderson (Robert), and Bethany C. Richoux; and a host of great nieces and nephews as well as his adopted nanny, Brenda Schouest.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette A. Blount.

The family would like to give special thanks to A Peace of Home Memory Care Facility Staff and owner, Margaret Caruso.
