Terrence “Terry” Vincent Fedele, age 79, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Colonial Oaks Living Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Fedele and Emma Murray, and his brother, Michael “Mickey” Fedele.
Terry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Glenda Hubbard Fedele; daughters, Raquel Cook (Dennis) and Christine Burke (Donald); and three grandsons, Zachary and Tyler Cook and Christopher Neely; and his brother in California, Peter Keck.
Terry was born in New Orleans on September 11, 1945. He graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School in 1965. After graduation, he went to work for Asbestos Workers’ Local #53. Terry was retired and for over 40 years he and his wife, Glenda, lived in St. Bernard.
During his lifetime, Terry was active in many Mardi Gras organizations, but he was most dedicated to the Krewe of Aphrodite. For many years, he and Glenda rode in the St. Bernard Irish Italian Islenos Parade. He belonged to both the St. Bernard Council on Aging and AARP Pakenham Chapter 3926, where he enjoyed visiting and joking with friends. Terry loved being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed a good argument, especially about the Saints. He loved going to the race track and looked forward to his bus rides to the casinos. He especially looked forward to the weekends when he and Glenda would meet a group of friends for Saturday morning breakfast (preferably a donut at Gerald’s) or Sunday lunch, which included watching a Saint’s game.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Parish, 2320 Paris Rd. in Chalmette, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00AM. A private graveside service will be held for the family in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Terry’s memory to a charity of your choice.
