Thelma Williams Schenker

Thelma Roberta Schenker passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Chateau de Notre Dame. Born March 11, 1924 in Little Rock, MS, she was the wife of the late William F. Schenker, Sr. Thelma R. Schenker was one of four children, the late Gladys Brown, the late Amos D. Williams and is survived by her sister Wilma Cleveland. Mrs. Schenker had three children, the late Thelma “Tooty” Schenker Zeringer and two surviving sons; Kurt Otis Schenker and William F. Schenker, Jr. Mrs. Schenker is also survived by one son-in-law Mark Zeringer and three daughter-in-laws Maureen and Shelley Schenker, and Jill Larsen. She is also survived by five grandchildren Emily and Mark Zeringer, Christopher, Kevin, Kyle and Gabriel Schenker, as well as one great grandchild Christian Schenker.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Animal Foundation, 1823 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA, 70131.
