Thomas "Tommy" R. Kimball, Sr.

Tommy was the beloved husband for 41 years of Virginia V. Kimball; loving father of Andrew B. Kimball, Stephen M. Kimball (Nicole), Christine L. Dufrene (Joseph), Crystal L. Swible (Troy), and the late Thomas R. Kimball, Jr.; grandfather of Heather M. Kimball, Stephen M. Kimball, Jr., Troy A. Swible, Jr., Joseph M. Dufrene, Jr., Payton M. Dufrene, and Anthony M. Swible; brother of Tammy Wintter, Andrew “Skip” Kimball, III (Rita), and Robert Kimball (Cathleen); uncle of Melinda Luna (Chris) and Lindsey Collier (Caleb); great uncle of Logan Luna and Emily Collier; and son of the late Andrew Joseph Kimball, Jr. and Joan Helen Zacharias. He also leaves behind his dear pet, Buddy Kimball, whom he shared a special bond with.

Tommy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 5, 1960, and graduated from Bonnabel High School in Metairie. He worked as a sandblaster with the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Tommy enjoyed fishing at his camp in Empire, Louisiana, camping with his family, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will be private.
