Thomas Elroy Machado

Thomas Elroy Machado passed away on August 30, 2024 at 72 years of age. He was born on May 2, 1952 in New Orleans, LA. He was a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School and worked for the Federal Government for 28 years in the Field of Petroleum Production with the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement. In his free time, Tommy enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his yard, and smoking cigars on his swing, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beth Andressen Machado; daughters, Shannon Machado Catanzaro and Kimberly Machado Buchler (James John Buchler); and grandchildren, Cole Thomas Catanzaro, Pierce Hampden Catanzaro, Morgan Julia Buchler, and Molly Alice Buchler; and brother, Richard Louis Machado.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elroy Louis Machado and Rosemary Gravois Machado, and his sister, Suzanne Machado Roberts.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and memorial mass on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. until mass at 1:00 p.m.
