Thomas F. Ridgley

Thomas “Tom” F. Ridgley, Sr. passed away on the night of Monday, June 8, 2015 at the age of 82. Tom was preceded in death by his parents John and Kathleen Ridgley; brothers Jack Ridgley, Pat Ridgley, and Reynolds Ridgley. Beloved husband of 60 years to Elaine Prager Ridgley. Tom is also survived by his children Rhonda R. Jones (Morris), Terri Ridgley, Patsie R. Vega (Jimmy), and Tommy F. Ridgley, Jr. (Rachele); grandchildren Pierre Gaudin III (Lauren), Matthew Vega, Alison Jones, Ryan Gaudin, Veronica Ridgley, and Thomas Ridgley III; great grandson Pierre Gaudin IV; sisters Mary Ann Emerson, Sean Hess (Mark); and brother Garry Ridgley.

Tom was a graduate of Saint Aloysius High School, class of ’51, and went on to attend LSU. He served as Past Grand Knight of Gentilly Council 2925 and was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, former President of Brother Martin High School Board of Directors, as well as being very active in Brother Martin Parents’ Club. Tom was the retired President of Prager Inc. He was an avid golfer and member of Metairie Country Club.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the James Branton Chapel at Brother Martin High School 4401 Elysian Fields, New Orleans, Louisiana, on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Brother Martin High School at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brother Martin High School, or St. Angela Merici Catholic Church.
