Vicki and Gayle, I was so sorry to hear about Vance. From growing up with you guys, I  remember him as being a quiet but sweet soul.  Gayle, I can't imagine what it feels like to loose a child. I hope you will find some comfort and peace eventually. Hugs and love to you and Vicki

I was graced with Vance's friendly demeanor back in 78-79 we would come from Lakeview on mini-bikes, dirt bikes and ran into the Vosbein crew. We were intrigued by the 2 Citron cars in driveway. Vance had a trials bike which was for rock climbing. I recall how kind he was as he took in us L-view boys. Good times jumping levees and running the lakefront. Just wanted say, Good guy-Vance RIP! Enjoyed the good ole days w/you, Chehardie, Lagatuta, and the Suttons. Blessings to the Family for peace and healing. Johnny

More needs to be said about Vance-

He was a sensitive and loving person. He would do anything for his family or friends. We remember as a teenager that he would love to assist his grandmother, Rae Vosbein and give her the joy of just hanging with her. He would take care of her car and run errands for her. He was too sweet.

Vance and his first cousin, Gretchen Vosbein became very close friends and lived close by for a number of years. In fact, they lived in the same condos. They spent lot of time together. Vance taught her to cook many things that she still cooks today, remembering where they came from. They entertained together and it was a wonderful chapter for both of them.

Vance had a love for cars, boats and motorcycles and was an adventurous soul in all respects. He loved visiting his uncle David on St. John in the Virgin Islands where he was a total riot. His humor and having fun with everyone was really special.

He spent years working in family businesses, including several restaurants where he honed his culinary skills. He cooked and served at catering parties and his love for what he was doing was enjoyed by all attending. If there was an event with food being planned, Vance was a major force in the menu planning, cooking and serving of the food. He had a knack for knowing what the people wanted and delivering it in spades.

Vance was love by all of us and will be missed. We were blessed to have him in our lives.
