Vera Claire Fanguy Addy, 95, passed away on February 5, 2020 in Harahan, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Frederick Addy; parents, Vera Claire Vicknair and William Burkdahl Fanguy; brother, Burk James Fanguy (Rita); and beloved niece, Julie Fanguy Cambus.

She is survived by her only son, Shawn David Addy and daughter in-law, Myra Schrock Addy; grandchildren, Ashley Addy McMillan (Tommy), Cherie Addy Hughes (Darrell), Shawn Ryan Addy (Lacie Dillman); great-grandchildren, Ava Addy, Brooklyn McMillan, Brady Hughes, Cameron Hughes, and Addison McMillan; nieces, Jane Blankenstein (Lee), Lynne Vega (Jeffrey); and nephews, Jimmy Fanguy (Sandra) and Gene Cambus (the late Julie Cambus).

Vera was an accounting clerk for Entergy and retired in 1989 after 30 years of employment. She was a parishioner of St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church in Harahan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd.
