Vic, known as 'Bud' to his family, was born December 6, 1948 in New Orleans, LA to the late Victor Deo Carlock, Sr. and the late Ruth Olivier Carlock.
He graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1966 and Loyola University in 1970. After graduation, he joined the US Air Force where he flew as a Captain until 1977. He started his civilian career as a commercial airline pilot for Southern Airways which evolved into Republic Airlines and later Northwest Airlines, retiring in 2008 as a Boeing 757 Captain.
