

Dr. Vincent Paul Ciolino passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family on March 22, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on October 7, 1928, he was a native New Orleanian of Sicilian descent and resided in Metairie for 68 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia Eaton, son, Gregory, grandson, Brandon, parents, Salvatore and Catherine Bonura, and siblings, Salvatore, Henry, John, Antonina Wolaver, and Felix.
He is survived by five children, Patricia Ciolino Scheffler (Stephen), Richard, Douglas, Susan Ciolino Redmond, and Karen Ciolino Berthelot (Melvin), daughter-in-law, Iris Patterson Ciolino, eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his brother, Dr. Samuel Ciolino.
Dr. Ciolino graduated from Jesuit High School (1946) and earned a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Loyola University (1953). He served in the Louisiana National Guard (1948-1951) and was later commissioned in the Navy during the Korean War, earning the rank of First Lieutenant. He enjoyed practicing dentistry in both Gentilly and Metairie for 40 years. He loved his Catholic faith, spending time with his family, playing golf, singing, dancing, drinking Pepsi, and eating Silver Bells.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6500 Kawanee Ave. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 12 PM – 1 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers Masses are preferred or donations to Sisters Servants of Mary, 5001 Perlita St. New Orleans, LA 70122.
