Vivian Paredes Faraldo

Daughter of the late Waldo Paredes and Clara Valdes Leon de Paredes. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Fernando Faraldo. Loving mother of Annette Pinsonat, Vivian Faraldo Dowdy, and the late Edward Faraldo. Devoted grandmother of Sean Moorehead, Amanda DeRoche, Kristen Faraldo, Allison DeRoche, Collin Dowdy, Sarah Rainey, Katie Pinsonat and Lauren Pinsonat.

Sister of Berta Paredes Valdes and the late Ramiro Paredes Valdes. She is also survived by her dedicated son-in-law, Bruce Pinsonat; and loving daughter-in-law, Patricia Faraldo. The family would also like to recognize her dearest cousin, Mercy Inhofer, loved in-laws, Jesus and Araceli Faraldo, best friends Marina Martinez, and the late Jose Martinez, and family member Scott Dowdy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, infectious smile, love of gardening, spoiling of her grandchildren, unwavering Christian faith and most of all her devotion to her beloved husband and children.

The family would like to thank our mother’s caretaker, Kim Williams, for her love, warmth and dedication.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Americare Hospice.
