Born on March 18, 1951, at Anderson Air Force Base in Guam to Charles Luck Mo and Ruth Mae Dubois Childs, Wayne was a man who lived his life to the fullest through an industrious spirit.
The name Wayne means “wagon maker”, a fitting reflection of a man who was always building, fixing and working with his hands. Wayne was a true handyman who could seemingly figure out how to fix just about anything. Wayne was a graduate of Chalmette High School and after a long career in the energy and utility industry retired from Entergy Corporation. He was an avid car enthusiast, with a special passion for Corvettes, and many years ago served as President of the Greater New Orleans Corvette Club. Wayne's faith was also an important part of his life, and the scripture, Psalm 27:1, holds special meaning in remembering him.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Ferrara Mo; his daughters, Jennifer Mo Miles (Brian), Andria Mo Schiro (Jeff), Lauren Elizabeth Mo, and Melissa Mo Billiot (Robert); his grandchildren, Joshua Schiro (Fallyn), Kaela Schiro, Brock Miles, Benjamin Schiro, Connor Miles (MacKenzie), Daniel Schiro, Macilyn Mo-Ledet, Anson Mo-Billiot, Katherine Mo, Madisyn Schiro, and Morgan Billiot; and his great-grandson, Brody Schiro.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Mo; and his brothers, Charles Luck Mo, Jr. and Gary Michael Mo.
The family is grateful to the hospice care team, especially Jody, Carmelia, Mark and Marguerite along with all staff at Fidelis Home for the quality of care they showed Wayne until his final day.
Visitation for his closest family and friends will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Funeral Home in Metairie with a memorial service in honor of Wayne beginning at 1 p.m. A private interment will take place at St. Roch Cemetery #2.
