Wendy was my mentor, friend and confidante. She will be truly missed.  Heaven shines brighter now that she is there. My prayers and thoughts are with you!

I met Wendi first over the phone and then at an ACDIS conference in 2012 or 2013.She was courting me to come work with her at Ochsner I believe. She was so interesting to listen to and so supportive of difficulties I was encountering in my position at the time. I was not able to fulfill her request at that time but continued to use her as a resource several times A very thorough professional and a wonderful human being.

I was catching up on ACDIS Radio when I heard Brian announce her untimely death. I am so sorry for our collective loss and most especially for her family. She will remain etched in our hearts.

I had the pleasure of knowing Wendy for the past six years at Enjoin. She was always full of life and so happy. She could always make you smile and laugh. She was an amazing professional in every sense and was always motivating others and embodying what it meant to be a true leader and teammate. She will always be missed in our work family.

Wendy was a member of the Advisory Board of our Association - ACDIS: The Association of Clinical Documentation Specialists, a speaker at our conferences and events, an author, and most of all, a respected and dear friend. We will miss her guidance, her expertise, and her friendship.  The ACDIS Team and members across the country send our condolences to Wendy's family and loved ones, colleagues and friends.

Wendy reached out to me periodically for a year or two before convincing me to take a leap into a new position at a Enjoin. She took time to invest in me, understand my concerns, and soothe my fears. I know I am not the only person who benefitted from Wendy’s reassurance and support in achieving both personal, and professional goals. While working for Wendy, I have been consistently impressed by her professionalism; her willingness to do anything that was needed (regardless of how trivial); and most importantly, her commitment to her husband and two daughters. Despite her demanding career, she was involved in every detail of their lives and spoke of them with so much pride.  Balancing career goals, motherhood, a household, and.... life, is a challenge. She did it with grace and demonstrated to me, and many others, how to do it well. 

Wendy was a leader in our industry and her death leaves behind an intellectual and mentoring gap. But most importantly, she was a mother and a friend who will be dearly missed by those who loved her. To her family, please know that our hearts are with you as you grieve. May you be surrounded by love. 


Wendy and I worked  together at Enjoin for over 6 years.  She was a consummate professional and no matter what the circumstance or audience, she was always eager to help.  As the company grew we worked together closely with her supporting activities within sales and marketing. She always had a positive outlook and "can do" attitude. 

I look at Wendy’s beautiful picture and remember the grace and dignity she exhibited when she was first diagnosed.  We had a national meeting in New Orleans and were going to announce our company rebrand with a new name, logo etc.  Wendy was still in treatment and hesitant to join us due to the effect of the chemo.  I told her she was integral part of our company and we wanted her there to celebrate this milestone as it would not be the same without her.  She joined us both in the booth and at our “reveal” party and it was a very special time for the Enjoin family. 

Another favorite memory is a trip to Chicago a few years ago.  We were both there for separate business meetings.  We connected late in the afternoon to get a quick shopping trip in at Nordstrom’s on Michigan Avenue aka “Magnificent Mile”.  Both Wendy and I love to shop and shared stories about our favorite designer brands, etc.  To cap of the excursion, we decided to go to The Purple Pig for some tapas and a glass of Prosecco.  It was raining so decided to hail a cab.  We got in the taxi and he laughed when we told him where we were going – it was only 3 blocks way!  I can hear Wendy today saying  to him “It’s all about the hair!  

Her enthusiasm, strength, compassion and positive outlook will forever be remembered.  I will miss you, Wendy my friend and colleague. 

To Guy, Caroline and Alex, May you be surrounded in God's love and the love of your family and friends during this difficult time.  I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I work for Enjoin and Wendy was one of the first people I met in the company. She made my feel welcome and encouraged me. She was so gracious in sharing her knowledge. We both had daughters with similar interests and would love to share our stories on their accomplishments. She had an extra twinkle in her eyes and even wider smile when talking about her family.   She had such passion in everything she did. She was our cheerleader at work and a true lady. I pray that her family will find comfort in knowing that she made a difference in this world and her light touched so, so many people.

She was a mentor to many CDI staff across the country, never seeming bothered by someone asking her a question. She always had a smile on her face and spoke of her family often. I want you to know what a kind and smart mother, wife, daughter Wendy was.
I worked with Wendy for the past several years as a partner selling CDI services to organizations across the US.  I am with M*Modal.
I am not a nurse, so Wendy always spoke to me and educated me professionally and with care to make sure I was able to convey the correct message to our joint customers and prospects.
I NEVER saw Wendy without a smile on her face, and true caring in her heart.  She was not fake, she was the REAL DEAL.
I'm sure Wendy was a GREAT mother - and I know you are mourning her lose at this time - and it will be a long time before the pain begins to ease.  I pray God takes some of the burden away for you and helps you realize that Wendy is dancing in heaven right now and going to watch over you and protect you for the rest of YOUR days.

I had the privilege of meeting Wendy through our professional association, ACDIS. Wendy amazed me with her kindness, intelligence, strength, and humor! Serving as a mentor for many of us just joining the profession, I found her to be such a strong, positive, female role model.

I'm incredibly sorry for your loss and am praying for peace and strength for the family, especially for Wendy's husband and daughters.  Wendy's love for her family was always evident in her discussions.  I admired her ability to put her family first, ahead of work, and still be able to manage and excel in her career.  Wendy was a strong woman and an inspiration to many women and moms.  She will be greatly missed.  

We all played together as kids. Grew up on the same street, and our siblings played too. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Did not know Wendy as an adult, but she was such a sweet child! My prayers are with your family. May God give you all strength, and feel His arms holding you tightly.

I am so very sorry for the loss of dear Wendy.  She was a colleague of mine for several years through her role with Enjoin.  I enjoyed every chance to work with her on projects and engage with her on phone calls.  I especially enjoyed spending time with her in New Orleans a few years ago during a conference.  You could tell she was a true native.

To her family - even though we have never met, she spoke of you with great pride and happiness in her voice.  I will keep you in my prayers and wish for many sweet blessings in your future.

So sad to hear this. I have great memories of Wendy and all the cousins at my grandmother's house on Sundays. 

Wendy was a talented, upbeat and brilliant colleague. While the consummate professional with clients, Wendy had a quick wit which made working with her very enjoyable. She left an indelible mark on many of us and will be greatly missed by many.

My condolences to Wendy's family, particularly her husband and her two daughters.  I had the honor and privilege to work with Wendy at Enjoin for the last 7 years.  She was a dedicated and resourceful leader in our company who was admired and respected.  She was well known for her positive attitude and her ability to connect with clients.  Beyond a colleague, Wendy was my friend and she had a knack for diffusing negative situations.  I admired Wendy for her strength and intelligence.  Even though Wendy was a private person, she was very proud of her daughters and spoke of them often.  We had lots of fun and quality time at our company retreats.  Wendy had a great sense of humor and was fun to be with.  She was my work sister and I will miss her terribly.
